Child and Family Research Center

Throughout my freshman and sophomore year of college, I worked part-time as a student teacher at the Child and Family Research Center on the University of Nevada Campus. During my freshman year, I worked in the fours classroom until the COVID pandemic. I prepared snacks, helped prepare and set up activities, and played with the children at the school. After the pandemic, I worked in the three-year-old classroom doing the same tasks. During my spring semester, I switched sites and started to work part-time at the Early Head Start on campus in the twos classroom. I loved working at this site and all of the children and families were so wonderful to work with. I had the same tasks at this site, but there were only 8 kids in my class, so I became super close with all of the children and families.  I was so sad to leave but was so grateful for the experience.
